I never reflect back on a year as a whole. I don’t weigh the pros and cons and I don’t set “new years resolutions.” Until now. 2015 was both the best and the worst year of my life. It was an emotional roller coaster – a year of firsts and lasts. It started with a kiss. A kiss from a boy who I had just started to get to know, a boy who would change my life.

During 2015 I’ve faced the greatest struggle of my life – losing my boyfriend to suicide, the person I was falling so quickly in love with. But I have also faced some of my greatest accomplishments – graduating college with honors, traveling Europe alone and choosing life in my darkest hours. I’m not sure what 2016 has in store for me, but let’s just hope there’s more good than bad.
